Retirees age 60 and older in Pittsburgh paid a median of $608 per month in rent in 2012, and 57 percent spent less than a third of their income on housing. Residents age 65 and older ride free on the bus, T or Monongahela Incline, and the UPMC-University of Pittsburgh Medical Center is ranked 9th in the nation in geriatrics.
